The relay system aims to enhance reliability and efficiency in power transmission by automatically detecting and isolating faults while minimizing reliance on manual settings. Approach: Utilize the provided dataset and equations outlined in the appendix to develop MATLAB code for performing calculations and creating proper models. Enhance the existing MATLAB code (Assignment_Trasmission_Line.m) that imports the a COMTRADE file in .DAT and .CFG and stores it within variables with well-commented implementations for tasks 2 & 3 as outlined in the attached document. Test and validate the functionality of the completed code using various scenarios and datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. Deliverables: MATLAB code with detailed comments explaining each method and function. Completed implementation of tasks 2 & 3 as outlined in the document. Very Important to follow the word document! Documentation providing an overview of the developed relay system, including methodologies, equations utilized, and validation results. Additional Info: The existing MATLAB code (Assignment_Trasmission_Line.m) that imports the a COMTRADE file in .DAT and .CFG and stores it within variables also currently plots the waveforms of the data. I did this to confirm that the data was being brought in properly. I have included the .DAT and .CFG data so that you may understand it and develop your code for Tasks 2 and 3. You may bring your code into my own or develop your own code as functions that will utilize my data. As a end product, I need to be able to test the code that Tasks 2 and 3 require. I have included a code "skeleton.m" code. It was my first draft at implementing Tasks 2 and 3. It is built for a known 3 bus system, and needs extensive edits. If you understand the assignment and this code would not assist, you can ignore. It was worked on with the TA and he said it would need to be heavily modified for this assignment. The key is to follow the appendix.
