1. You will identify a policy and/or practice that impacts a community (what/who are you advocating for). 2. You will create an infographic, using evidence (policies, academic papers, course readings & resources) to discuss the ‘topic’ you are advocating for. 3. The infographic should tell a story from beginning (issue) to end (proposed solutions). 4. Include a short reflection on how advocacy can play a role in mitigating a system that advances inequalities. Consider how multiple sources of oppression such as race, ability, socio economic status, gender, identity, religion, etc., relate to one another and how the presence of multiple discriminations influence an individual, group or communities experience in society. The reflection should integrate information from class readings as well as additional evidence based, peer reviewed research. 5. PLEASE NOTE: You will use footnotes in the body of your infographic (similar to a poster presentation). You will use in text citations for your reflection. Please include a reference page at the end of your assignment.
