Civil Engineering

This is the question as given by university instructor and it is complete. There is one trick that the ship engine is considered a constant volume ( V2=V1 ) during the process so u can utilize that and fix the final state and carry out the calculations required. I need mainly the last part to prove whether the process is spontaneous or not which cannot be done unless you do the previous parts. I hope this resolves the issue.

(Question)

The ship shown below uses coal for power production in order to move. When coal is burnt, the heat produced will increase the steam temperature which eventually move a shaft. Unfortunately, due to a crash, the ship sinks. As engineers, we are interested in calculating the changes of entropy of steam inside the reactor shell just before and long after sinking. Just before the crash, steam was at 10 bar and ?. Long after the sinking, the steam pressure reduces to 2 bar since the reactor is cooled down eventually. Assuming that the temperature deep in the ocean to be constant at ?:

(A) Calculate changes of entropy of the steam. [25 pts]
(B) Calculate changes of entropy of the surrounding. [15 pts]
(C) Calculate changes of entropy of the universe. [10]
(D) Is the process spontaneous? [5]
