Arts

Johnny is a 13-year-old boy who came to the group home because of his behaviors exhibited in a foster-care placement. He was placed in foster-care because both of his parents were killed in a car accident in which he was the only survivor. Johnny now is very depressed because he has no family and is also anxious whenever he gets into a vehicle because he has flashbacks of the event. Whenever he gets into a car he begins to cry, yell, grab at the driver, attempt to jump out of the car and also bites himself on the arms. When around others, he does not speak (although he is not non-verbal), sits in the corner for hours and does not interact with others. Prior to this incident, Johnny was a normal, happy boy. How would you treat him?
