You read article titled: '' Presentation View: Tools for running a Powerpoint Presentation ''.
You are excited about what you learned and sent an Instant Message to all the members of the workgroup about what you learned and experimented with.
What I have learned:
I learned that there is a specific feature called presenter view. It has a lot of special features, which makes presenting in font of an audience more user friendly, allows for me to have more control over what I present, and makes for a more smooth and structured presentation.
To get this feature, I have to connect my computer to a secondary screen such as a projector, the laptop has to have 2 video cards, and I have to have a current version of windows.
Some of the cool features include:
- I have the capability of showing slides out of their pre-determined sequence
- There is a black-out button which allows me to black out of the screen at any time for my audience, while I can still see the screen on my own laptop
In this view, I get to see all of my slides on the left hand side in a thumbnail size
I can see in full size my current slide
On the right, I have that blackout button which will temporarily end the presentation on screen, while keeping my info on my laptop
I can also see which slide will come up next, and I will have the ability to navigate easily through the slides using a scroll button. I can also keep track of the amount of time that has elapsed since I began the report.
On the bottom of the screen are my private notes which will not be visible to my audience.
