(In part) Understand and use web development tools and technologies. (In part) Apply contemporary web technologies to design and implement complex web-based with the focus on system robustness, usability, accessibility, responsiveness etc. (In part) This assessment is going to be worth 35% of your overall module mark, and you have until the end of Day 7 of week 4 to submit it. Assessment scenario WearView academy is a secondary school in the North East of England. They require a prototype web based system developing that will allow staff to report IT issues to their in house IT service department. The IT systems needs to allow staff to report any IT related issues to the technical team. This could be anything from a computer fault in a classroom to a password reset. The prototype system is only going to be tested by a small amount of select staff as a proof of concept, before being rolled out to all staff at a later date. The following user scenario has been created to help you create the system: Katy is a secondary school teacher who teaches in a classroom. One day, she turns on her classroom projector to see an error message on her computer, informing her that the bulb of the projector needs replacing. She can't teach her lessons without her projector so she accesses the IT Technical Support system on her computer to request that an IT technician comes and replaces the bulb as soon as possible. When Katy accesses the website, she is asked to login. As this is only a prototype system being tested by a few select staff, she uses a common username of staffmember and a common password of letmein!123. The website allows her access and she is now presented with a screen to report her fault. She fills in her name, her email address and the location of the fault. She then fills in a brief description of the problem and presses submit. A confirmation message is displayed saying that her request has been submitted. David is an IT technician working at the school. As he is patrolling the school looking for any IT issues, he accesses the IT Technical Support system on his smart phone. He logs in with the technician account using admin as the username and heretohelp!456 as the password. He is then presented with an option to see completed jobs or incomplete jobs. He clicks on incomplete jobs and sees a request to change a bulb in a classroom projector. He locates a bulb and heads to the classroom to complete the job. Once the job is completed, he changes the status of the job on the website to complete and looks for his next task. Task Part A - Technical design documentation As part of your prototype, you are required to produce some design documentation to show that the web design and development process of this system has been carefully thought through. No house styles, logos or guidelines have been provided so you have been given free reign over the design choices. The only requirements are that the website is professional and fit for purpose. Please submit: A digital moodboard A low fidelity wireframe of the page where a user would log an IT request A high fidelity wireframe of the page where a user would log an IT request A website structure / hierarchy diagram showing all possible pages and the route to access these pages A 500 word evaluation justifying your design choices. Part B - Front-end development As a proof of concept, the school would like you to submit a partly working prototype form to log IT requests. This form should include all of the fields required to successfully register a job. The HTML code should be accessible and also validate using the W3C validator Links to an external site.. The webpage should also be styled using an external CSS stylesheet, and also be mobile responsive so that it can accomodate 3 different resolutions; a desktop, a tablet and a mobile. As well as this, the webpage must contain Javascript clientside validation to ensure that no forms fields are missed, and that a user's email address is valid. Referencing is Havard style
