Acceptance Speech This assignment is an acceptance speech. You will write yourself accepting an imaginary award of some kind, (any type of sport win) tell a brief story related to the reason you won the award, thank a few people, and graciously sign off. The purpose here is to practice form, timing, voice, narrative control, prop use, composure, and your technology. To do this assignment, you need the following: 1. A prop that serves as an award 2. An award for achievement (Best Stuffed Animal Designer; Saleswoman of the Year; Kobra Kai Kicker Supreme; Child Advocate of the Year; Chef of the Year; Tree-planter of the Year; Best Vampire, etc… Anything will do.) 3. A reason the award is meaningful, such as why the profession or the work is more important than you are. Why is this work meaningful? 4. A reason you entered the profession or worked towards this achievement 5. A person or people (no more than 2) that you can thank. 6. An expression of gratitude (“Thank you for this.
