This project is due during Week 10. Late submissions will not be accepted. You will submit a .doc file or PDF for the paper and a .ppt or PDF for the presentation. Your assignment here is to find a case involving a person who suffered an injustice within the US criminal justice system as the result of a flawed investigation. This injustice can amount to false arrest or conviction due to police misconduct, incompetence or error, witness misconduct, or due process violations. Your paper will be a written report of your findings, while the PowerPoint will be created as if you were going to present on that material to your colleagues.

Information You Will Need to Cover:

• The details of the case.
• What went wrong (or allegedly went wrong).
• Was this injustice corrected or addressed? If so, how?
• Any reforms or remedies that may have resulted from this case.

Paper Formatting Requirements:

• APA formatting (see the APA guide in the Start Here module).
• Double spaced, 12 point font, Times New Roman.
• The report will be 3-5 pages in length, plus a title and reference page (5-7 pages total).
• Reference page includes at least 3 sources.

PowerPoint Formatting Requirements:

• 10 to 15 slides in length, plus title and reference slides(12-17 slides total)
• Relevant images to enhance the information and retain audience interest.
• APA-cited sources for the information and images on a Resources page.

This project gives you the opportunity to take what you've learned in class and apply it to a real-world situation.
