The intercultural interview paper will consist of three parts:

• First: find and interview a person who is a member of an ethnic or racial group that is unfamiliar to you.
• Second: you will do research on this person's culture using the library resources to add, augment, elaborate, expand (and so on)  your paper.  
• Third: you will combine the interview information with the library research to write your essay in APA format.

For now you are to do only part I, which consists of finding and interviewing a person who is not a family member or friend and who is a member of an ethnic or racial group that is unfamiliar to you. The interview's purpose is to collect information from this persons perspective on his/her culture or ethnic origin.  

Start the search for the person to interview right away. If in the next few days you are unable to locate someone then please email m and I will connect you with the international student advisor on campus who can connect you with a student. 

Final note: I do expect this collecting of information to be significant. What I mean is that you should have at least 4 pages single spaced with the answers to these questions, elaborated with stories and examples as much as possible. The deeper you dive into it, the more meaning it will have for you. When you have completed the interview and answered the questions fully, submit the information to me as an attachment in question/answer format. Later you will take this information to use for writing your paper.
