PROJECT STEPS

1.

Auto Audio Avengers is a custom car audio installer. The company is

expanding its marketing campaign to include podcasts of its new audio

packages. As part of that campaign, you will add engaging animation to a

presentation.

To immediately grab the viewer’s interest, add an animation to a picture on the

first slide as described below:

a.

On Slide 1 (“READY TO UPGRADE YOUR CAR STEREO?

”), add the

Entrance animation to the speaker picture.

Change the Duration setting to

With Slide 1 still displaying, create a hyperlink from the text “AUTO AUDIO

AVENGERS” to Slide 6, and then test the hyperlink.

With Slide 1 still displaying, customize the theme colors to change the

Figure 1 below. (

Hint:

Only move the end point of the motion path. If you

accidentally drag any other point on the motion path, press CRTL+Z to

undo that action and try again.)

On Slide 3 (“SOUND IN CARS”), modify the slide background as follows:

On Slide 5 (“BASIC QUESTIONS”), add animation to the key picture as follows:

With Slide 5 still displaying, format an action button as follows:

a.

Create a hyperlink from the green action button to the next slide.

Change the size of the action button to a height of

Use Smart Guides to position the action button in the lower-right corner

of the slide, as shown in Figure 2 below.

On Slide 6 (“Auto Audio Avengers”), align the musical car picture as follows:

Display guides if they are not already displayed.

b.

Drag the horizontal guide above center of the slide until the ScreenTip

displays 1.00.

c.

Drag the vertical guide left of center of the slide until the ScreenTip

displays 2.50.

d.

Drag the large musical car picture so that its right side and bottom

touch the intersection of the horizontal and vertical guides, as shown in

Figure 3 on the next page.

e.

Hide guides.

In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure below. Save your

changes, close the presentation, and then exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the

SAM website to submit your completed project.
