PROJECT STEPS

1.

Barista Training Grounds is a world-renowned association for gourmet coffee

service. This summer, they are offering a special intensive for young baristas.

You will create an appealing presentation buzzing with multifunctional graphics

as stimulating as a grandé cappuccino. You begin by eliminating distracting

graphics in the SmartArt object, while keeping the text.

a.

On Slide 1 (“Barista Training Grounds”), convert the SmartArt object to

text.

b.

Remove the bullets from the text.

c.

Right-align the text in the text box.

On Slide 2 (“Java: A Brief History”), convert the bulleted list to the

cup shape as shown in Figure 2 on the next page. In the following order, click

the yellow coffee cup shape, press and hold Shift, click the blue ring shape, and

then apply the

merge shape command.

Add a shape to the bottom of the SmartArt.
