1 -You are the head of the project management department at medium sized organization based in Vancouver.  You have been provided with capital and operating dollars to fund a key organizational project which was not previously on the approved list of projects.  You have a number of approved project and have already allocated your resources.  You are asked to run this project.  Here are some additional information:

-Approximate duration of the requested project: 12 Months

Project Sponsor: VP of Human Resources

Resources: Resourced from HR, Finance, resources from IT are allocated to other projects

High Level Scope: Transformation of the Human Resource Information System

High Level Requirements:  Documented by HR

High Level Budget: will cover the cost of the system, software licensing and maintenance, and 1 Project Manager.  Managements high level budget was prepared based on a similar project undertaken by a different organization in the same industry 3 years ago.Other project resources including change management are allocated to inflight projects
