There will be a 5-7 page double spaced paper due that will cover any topic desired related to the chapter
readings. The professor must clear the topic by September 20. No changes to the topic are allowed. The paper
should follow APA format. This is simply an exercise in finding a topic of interest in Ethics of Sports and
researching this topic by proving or disproving a statement raised by the student. The paper will be graded on
content, APA format, and if the statement is answered. Papers are due on December 6. No papers are accepted
late regardless of reason. Papers will be emailed thru canvas to the Professor.

Before paper is completed and due the student will be required at different points in the semester to seek
approval of their paper topic (9/20), research statement (10/11), and successful find of applicable research
articles (10/25). It is imperative to complete this and review the Final Paper Checklist to understand the process
of obtaining, understanding, reviewing, and expressing research to help the student complete the research paper.
