ASCI 516 9.2 - Discussion: What is the Most Critical CRM Component?

In this course, you have learned about the many elements that comprise CRM. We have seen multiple examples of what can happen when CRM processes are not employed effectively.

For this module week's discussion, you will decide which CRM component is the most critical component of civil or military aviation mishap prevention. Limit your discussion to only one of the CRM "skills" covered in this course: leadership/team building, communication, situational awareness, decision-making/risk management, or task/workload/automation management. There is not necessarily a right or wrong answer, but be sure to support your choice with data and material from this course. If you have personal experience in one of the other fields discussed this week (medical or maintenance), you may post about the CRM skill that is most critical for safety/success in that field.
