file extension
in the Save As dialog box, do not
type it. The program will add the file extension for you automatically.

your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.

If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and
download a new copy from the SAM website.
PROJECT STEPS
1.
Angles of Light creates custom retro and modern geometric lamps and lights.
After working with the new wholesale sales department on their rollout
presentation, you need to streamline some slides so you give users a megawatt
experience. You begin by eliminating distracting graphics in the SmartArt object,
while keeping the text.
a.
On Slide 1 (“Angles of Light”), convert the SmartArt object to text.
b.
Remove the bullets from the text.
c.
Right-align the text in the text box.

On Slide 2 (“The History of Shade”), convert the bulleted list to the
Basic
Chevron Process
SmartArt so viewers can easily understand the artistic
history of lamp shades as shown in Figure 1 below.

Change the color of the SmartArt object to

in the Colorful row of the Change Colors gallery.

Apply the
Subtle Effect
style in the Best Match for Document section.
c.
Increase the width of the SmartArt object to
10.8”

On Slide 3 (“Just a Lamp?”), create and format a text box as follows:
a.
Create a text box, and then type

Center the text in the text box.

Change the font size to

Apply the

On Slide 4 (“Wholesale Angles of Light”), create custom artwork for the
wholesale division by using Smart Guides to position the green design shape on
top of the blue cylinder shape as shown in Figure 2 on the next page. In the
following order, click the
blue cylinder
shape, press and hold
Shift
, click the
green design
shape, and then apply the
Combine
merge shape command.

Use Smart Guides to position the text box beneath the bulleted list as

Promote “Let lamps shine” so that it becomes the second shape in the
SmartArt.
b.
Add a shape to the bottom of the SmartArt.

Enter the text

On Slide 6 (“Tradeshow Tips”), format the SmartArt as follows:

Demote “Have good free stuff (swag)”.

Change the SmartArt object to
