Each student will write a 4-page minimum paper (not including the title page, bibliography and pictures) detailing a description and history of one of California’s many parks. Information should be obtained from scholarly library resources and the Internet (please do not cite Wikipedia). Information in the paper should include a summary of the park area’s history, together with relevant census statistics, notable current characteristics/events, and important personalities/historical figures. In addition to the paper, students will submit a PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint presentation must be a minimum of 10 slides in length (not including the title and bibliography slides). No narrative audio is required. Both the paper and the PowerPoint presentation should contain references in APA or
