What can we learn by being attentive to how immigrants and their children experience immigration laws, policies, and systemic forms of racism? How do questions of legal status factor into such evaluations? Your essay should be 2,000 to 2,500 words in length. For this assignment, there is no need to incorporate materials from outside class - in fact, you are discouraged from doing so.
