This assignment is to enhance your understanding of both histology and histological techniques. You may choose a topic from below of an organ system to research. Please post your choice in the discussion board. You will then write a 1000 word paper describing  the histological features of your assigned tissue type.

Format of the report

1)OVERALL INTRODUCTION TO THE HISTOLOGY OF THE ORGAN SYSTEM--Please list the functions of the organ system then describe cells and structures within the system that allow for those functions.

2)IMAGES-- locate at least 5 histological images of tissues from your assigned topic and insert them into your document. Label and describe the relevant features and specialized functions of the tissue images you select. Be sure to reference the sources of the images. Find at least one image that is not stained with the H&E. Be sure to note what stain is used on each image.

3)References- please use at least two references and site them in standard format.

The report should be written in Microsoft Word, double spaced with 12-point font. Alternative file types may be acceptable, but please check with the instructor before submitting.
