You are an economist living and working in the 21st century in a well-developed economy. A time machine takes you back 100 years and puts you in charge of "the office of economic planning for MENA region!" What advises do you provide to help the economy grow fast and become developed? To have a picture of the society I am taking about, consider the following picture that shows the living condition of more than 80 percent of people of the MENA region (and most other regions of the world) at that time.
