Literature Review Draft (100 points): The purpose of your literature review is to report on what has recently been written about your action research focus. You will be synthesizing the writings of 25 or more authors, citing and referencing in an objective and unbiased manner. You should not discuss the issues involved or take a position, being careful not to go beyond describing the authors’ views. The paper should be in paragraph form, follow APA 7 style, be at least 8 pp. in length and include the following components: Introduction, Literature Review, Summary and Reflections.

Assignment 2

Research Methods Draft (100 points): Students will discuss the methods used in this action research project. The descriptions in this section are such that another researcher could easily replicate the data collection and analysis procedures. In the summary, students will briefly summarize how the research was conducted. The paper should be in paragraph form, follow APA6 style, be at least 5 pp. in length and include the following components: Introduction, Research Methods, Summary and Reflections to satisfy the components of the rubric posted under assignments on Blackboard.

Assignment 3

Action Plan Presentation (100 points)-Students will summarize and present the action plan that emerged from the action research study in an audio-visual presentation. The presentations will be expected to convey the action research findings and action plan in a detailed, interesting manner and be suitable to present to your stakeholders. Specific presentation requirements will be determined by the student in consultation with the instructor

Assignment 4

Action Research Report (140 points)-Students will develop a written action research report relating to the field of practice in educational leadership. The report allows the student to compile information regarding the focus of the study, background, subjects, methods, findings, and conclusions. The report will be approximately 20-25 pp. (not including appendices, references, or cover page) and include the following components: Title page; Introduction to the focus, problem statement, and significance of the study* (3 pp.); literature review* (8 pp.); research methods* (5 pp.); findings and conclusions (5 pp.); action plan (3 pp.); References; Appendices- all pertinent data collection instruments, charts, templates, timelines etc.

*These components may be folded into the final report after receiving feedback from the draft assignment.
