To gain buy-in from stakeholders, you must be able to select and justify the use of a decision-making tool or technique. This involves comparing and contrasting a variety of tools and developing an astute rationale for the specific tool you have selected. [MO 4.2]

Instructions

Write a 6- to 8-page paper (1500 to 2750 words) in APA format. Do not exceed 10 pages (not including title page or references).

Use the headings below when completing this written assignment.You must use at least six references in this paper; four of these references need to be sources not provided in the course. Three of these sources must be scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles; three references can be white papers published by professional organizations (e.g., Society for Human Resources Management). No blogs, wikis, or news websites will be accepted.

• Compare and contrast two tools/techniques that would be applicable to solving this organizational problem. Note: The tools/techniques chosen for this activity must be different than those in Discussion Forum 5.
• Select a tool and provide a rationale for this choice. Explain how the selected tool will help solve the problem.
• Use the tool for this decision-making process. (This is a mock application. Hypothesize the findings if using the tool based on your knowledge of the organization.) Show your work through providing a visual related to the tool (e.g., value added/non-value added analysis table). Provide a written explanation of the findings after using the tool.
