Changes to court system

1) Everyday someone complains on how the court system does not work.  I would like you to suggest 3 things that you think should be changed to the system, why they should be changed and how that part of the system should work.

2. Plea Bargains

Briefly explain the various types of plea bargaining.  How and why is plea bargaining used in the criminal justice system?  What are the advantages of plea bargaining?  What are the disadvantages?  Do you think plea bargaining is ethical?  Can our justice system function without it? Please support your answers.

Criminal Justice Discussion

Question 1: Changes to Court System

The court system must entail a critical transformation in equitable parole and probation, decent detention conditions, and justice in pre-trial services and practices. Parole and probation must get fair and consistent to let individuals safely exist within their communities. Decent detention is a fundamental human right that enables individuals to reintegrate with society formally. Pre-trial services and practices appreciate the right to due process to freedom and fairness. By changing the identified systems, law and order exist to enhance social progress by fostering the culture of safety, rehabilitation, and equal justice (Kourlis, 2016).

Question 2: Plea Bargains

Sangero (2017) implies that the distinct plea bargaining includes charge bargaining, fact bargaining, and sentence bargaining, where the defendant pleads guilty of a single or more charge in expectation of lenient sentences. Plea bargaining gets exploited for the measure of defendants avoiding time and cost in defending themselves. The benefit of plea bargaining is that victims do not get to experience the frightening context of testifying in courts, while the disadvantage is that it removes the right to have a trial by the jury and it eliminates the chance of an appeal. I think plea bargaining is unethical, and it is difficult to support its practicality. I believe our systems cannot do without plea bargaining, it is a system necessity, and its absence attracts a flooded court process.
