SOCI 315 – Sociology of Deviance Summer 2021 Professor Aaron Lorenz Final Essay (25%) DUE AUGUST 9, 2021 NO late papers will be accepted. All papers will be graded on content analysis, thus all arguments must be supported through course readings, lectures, research, and/or class discussions/posts/forums. Grammar and spelling will be taken into account but will only affect grades if there are grievous errors and/or laziness is evident. All sources not from the course should be cited in a bibliography. Compose a 2-4 page paper, typed, double-spaced, 10-12 font, with acceptable margins. Included in your analysis, if applicable, should be: 1) specific examples from the reading, 2) specific examples from course discussions on Moodle (and other forums), and 3) contemporary examples. One: Choose a theory from the “Marx” section OR “critical theories in deviance” and explain whether and why you see value in it helping us better understand human behavior.
