You are a seasoned leader of a successful company. You have decided to become a mentor for Cathey, a person just at the start of her career. Cathey is wondering why diversity is such a concern for the company, what her role should be in supporting diversity, and how using a diverse workforce helps the company meet its strategic goals.

The project consists of a series of six email messages back to your fictional mentee. In a document, you will type your responses to make them look like email responses. You will provide researched and practical advice in all of your email responses. As such, you are required to cite a resource in each email to add validity to the message being conveyed. You should also give a work example to support the answer you are giving Cameron. The series of six email messages should total between 8- 10 pages in length.

The following are Cameron’s weekly email questions to which you will respond:

• Week 1 – “I just went to a diversity training seminar that I was required to take. Why is this subject important to the company?”

• Week 2 – “I’ve been thinking about what you said. What aspects of diversity should I be considering on a personal level to make me a better and more productive member ofthe community?”

• Week 3 – “As you know, I am concerned about growing my career. Do I need to alter my thinking to become more diversity conscious in order to advance my career? If so, how can I do this?”

• Week 4 – “How can I determine the diversity issues present in my team in termsof inclusive thinking and exclusive thinking? What should I be looking for?”

• Week 5 – “Will a one-day diversity training seminar for my team be enough?”

• Week 6 –“I want my team to be more successful by becoming more diversity inclusive. What methods could I use to measure progress towards this goal?”

You should submit your responses in a single document formatted according to APA style guidelines.
