3.2 - Discussion: Effects and Spinoffs from the Space Race 
The race to the Moon between the United States and Soviet Union spurred tremendous investment and technological development. Research the amount of money invested in the space program as a comparison to the overall federal budget and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). You will discuss the key technological developments, the spinoff product's capabilities, and the overall benefits to the economy and education in this activity. 

There are two aspects to the discussion boards: your initial thread and the responses to other students' posts to your thread as well as responses to their posts. For your initial thread. you should conduct research beyond the course textbook and the Internet. Provide a summary of the topics listed. Use the Hunt Library! You will respond to students that have commented on your initial thread throughout the week.
