This is the type of respiration in which oxygen is act as a final electron acceptor in electron transport chain and ATPs are generated. Almost all Eukaryotes respire aerobically. Anaerobic Respiration is opposite to aerobic respiration, occurs in the absence of oxygen and found in prokaryotes.
