On page 389 of your text, there are a number of descriptions of "crazy makers". Did any of them seem familiar to you? Describe a situation where you might not have been at your communication best. Which of thee do you think you have been? How do you think you can go about avoiding these behaviors in the future?
Expert Solution
Mostly all of the description of "crazy makers" were very familiar to me and I feel like I have been in most of the situations listed in the book. I never knew there were even names for passive-aggressive behaviors. "The Trapper" is one type of "crazy makers" I have been in. For example, there was a time when I was in an argument with my boyfriend. I would ask him one question, but in different ways, until I somehow get the answer I wanted. From there, the real fight begins and I would start attacking him because of what he answered. He would tell me, "I am scared to say anything or be more open because I feel like you will use it against me." I think I can avoid these behaviors in the future by trusting him more instead of digging and digging until I hear something I didn't want to hear.
