1. Do you think full self-disclosure is important in this relationship? Why or why not?

A: While it may be tougher during times of hardships, it is always better to let your significant other know certain things before they find out themselves. In this case with Lelani flirting a bit with Malcolm's friend while they were split up,  I believe Lelani should come clean with Malcolm. If he finds out on his own, he might feel suspicious that it was never brought to his attention. So for this relationship I believe Lelani should self-disclose her actions after their break. 

2. Use other relationships to evaluate how important full self-closure is to committed relationships. Cite times when full disclosure may be more harmful than helpful. 

A: For the situation above, self-disclosure was necessary in order to prevent Malcolm from finding out Lelani's secret from an outside source. There have been times where I have had to be completely open and honest about a situation in order to prevent my girlfriend from finding out later, for example when I let her know that I am going out to hang with friends at night instead of having her find out I kept something like that from her. However, too much disclosure is also a thing and you should evaluate where you are in the relationship before opening yourself up.  No matter how much a like someone, disclosing an interest like how much great you think the Star Wars has the best story ever might have hard time clicking with your significant other. It's best to keep things like nerdy interests to yourself unless the other persons sparks a significant interest.
