Scenario:

The Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) oversees 18 school districts within Alameda County, California. The ACOE is partnering with the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency to educate the state legislature on the school-based health care services available within the county. Specifically, the agencies will present data from their most recent program evaluation to the legislature, with the goal of increasing support of school-based health centers to maintain their funding.

Assignment:

Using the Alameda County evaluation report and its contents, develop a presentation for the California state legislature. Share your findings and recommendations based on the results of the evaluation report. Convince your audience that school-based health centers fill a health care gap, resulting in not only improved health outcomes, but also improved education outcomes. Your presentation should be no more than 5 minutes. Include a self-created infographic handout to help your audience better understand your presentation. To mimic the real world, no slides can be used during this presentation. Draft presentations will be made and discussed in class. Final presentations will be submitted online.
