The goal of this paper is to identify and analyze an issue related to an aspect of Jewish life and/or thought. You are required to consult at least 5 new sources (books, journal articles) Remember to analyze and evaluate and not simply to describe or summarize information. You may consult biblical, rabbinic, Kabbalistic, historical, literary and/or philosophical writings as appropriate. You are encouraged to consult and apply contemporary theories that may be pertinent to furthering our understanding of a particular topic.
1) 1-page paper proposal + 1 bibliography page: The proposal must clearly state your topic, a problem that you are going to address through your argument in your paper, and method you will employ to argue your point – historical, anthropological, sociological, philosophical, textual, etc. (one page)
