This is a period of time where growth and development has observable signs in the physical domain as skills and bodies strengthen, cognitive domain as memory and skills and  language and attention improves and social emotion domain while children find their place amongst their peers.  Your text covers in depth growth and development of school age children in chapters 1-=12, although we will not be reading those chapters in depth as we have in previous chapters of the text. 

For this assignment, you may utilize either the text, or information found in reliable internet sources.  You will also access Office 356 Microsoft Suite products--available to you on the left hand navigation bar of this course by creating a PowerPoint. 

Your PowerPoint should be 6 slides containing the following information:

Slide 1--A title of your presentation, age appropriate picture (of school age children from google images) and your name, course and quarter.

Slide 2--An overview and image of five physical domain characteristics of school age children.

Slide 3--An overview and image of five cognitive domain characteristics of school age children.

Slide 4--An overview and image of five social emotional domain characteristics of school age children. 

Slide 5--Two statements that illustrate what might be considered to be red flag or developmental delays in children of this age.  In other words, what should parents or teachers look for in children of this age that might signal a developmental delay.

Side 6-- An overall summary statement that describes an overview or overlap of typically developing school age children and any works cited.
