Hackers, crackers, intruders, and attackers are defined as “Individuals who subvert computer security without authorization to access, manipulate, destroy, or steal information, software, and systems.” 

But are they all bad?  From your reading in the Emerge material, identify one “black-hat hacker” and one “white-hat hacker.”  

1.  Read about their exploits explaining the differences between a “white-hat hacker” and “black-hat hacker.  Make sure your input includes a person's name from a white-hat hacker and a black-hat hacker and indicate what they did in their exploits.

2.  In your opinion, were there acts criminal?

3.  Did they do damage or did they benefit society in any way?
