This week we will discuss legal causes for termination, such as laziness, incompetence, etc, but will also discuss some causes for termination that should be avoided, such as race, disability, gender, and retaliation.

1. Write a paper (500-750 words) that addresses the Review Questions 2 and 3 in chapter 20 of the textbook. Include a rationale for your answers.

2. Using the hospital as a setting, give two examples of what would violate the NLRA.

3. How do patients’ rights come into play during a strike?

5. Discuss what questions an employer (supervisor) should consider before terminating an employee.

8. Discuss what actions an employer can take in order to help reduce the necessity for discharging an employee.

4) Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
