This week you learned how to measure disease occurrence. Key math terms, and epidemiologic concepts are the basis for advanced analyses to describe health issues and diseases in terms of person, place, and time, and examining the association between exposures and health issues or diseases. By the end of this activity, you will be able to recognize the utility of each measure of occurrence applied in epidemiology for presenting specific types of information in a meaningful way, and be able to calculate measures of disease occurrence.
