Describe the human resource management process in organizations

The human resource management process involves the processes from recruitment to the recognition of personnel. The four (4) core processes of the human resource function include the following:

1. Recruitment, Selection and Placement- This includes the selection of personnel, conducting examination and interviews to be able to select the the applicant that best suits for the positions, obtaining background checks and character references and conducting on boarding activities to orient the personnel on the rules and regulations being implemented by the office, as well as the duties and responsibilities to be assigned to him/her based on the list of duties and responsibilities assigned for a particular position of a particular office;
2. Learning and Development- This relates to the training and capability building activities provided to the personnel for them to be more equip in doing their functions and be ready in the succeeding next in rank positions;
3. Performance Management- This relates to the process of evaluating the performance of the personnel on how they are doing with regards to the expected performance from them; and
4. Rewards and Recognition- This includes recognizing the efforts provided by the personnel beyond their duties and responsibilities to be able contribute to the attainment of goals and objectives. This include both monetary and non-monetary rewards and are used to motivate more the personnel to outdo what they are currently performing.
