Questions:

1) A few words about the global modern system.  "The Economist" believes that the dominant role of the dollar is rather fragile and might not be sustainable for a long period of time.  What are your thoughts on the issue:

2) Question is whether there is already an existing framework for a growing international role of the Yuan?

One of the key obstacles might be just that: the unwillingness of the Party to allow for a global uncontrollable participation of the Yuan in the currency markets.

 

3) In what type of goods or services one would expect the fastest conversion to parity (PPP)?

As a suggestion I would believe that natural materials trading on world markets either spot or futures or both such as metal ore, gold, corn, cotton etc.  Where barriers of trade are not that obvious,.

 

4) Class, one of the other assumptions tied to the MPT model is that our portfolio is well diversified and that we are only concerned with systematic (market) risk. Do you think real estate complicates this assumption?

 

5) Class, while you may be more familiar with residential it is good for us to know the strengths of the commercial sector. When identifying theadvantages in this sector make sure to go beyond the two basics of what a triple net lease has to offer and the common lengths of the commercial lease.
