Question 5

5 / 5 pts

In one paragraph (75–150 words), define a miracle using your own words.

Your Answer:

A miracle is a work of God. It is a manifestation of God’s power, which is intended to teach or show God’s greatness. Each miracle had a purpose and was intended to demonstrate the supernatural power of God. For instance, the miracle of turning water into wine was intended to show God’s providence. The miracle of healing the bleeding woman was intended to show God’s healing power. the miracle of raising Lazarus from death was intended to show God’s power over death.

Question 6

5 / 5 pts

In one paragraph (75–150 words), describe what the miracles you studied reveal about the power and character of the Savior? Put a reference and brief title of the miracle you studied with your answer to the question.

Your Answer:

Studying the miracles revealed that our Savior was able to obtain a perfected state while he was in his human form. Even though he had to learn in the beginning who he was, later on he managed to obtain his power through faithful prayer and scripture studies himself. HE was able to put away the natural man and obtain power by being Obedient to Heavenly Father and following through the plan. It showed Jesus's compassion for human suffering. He also shows His love in many other ways every day without miracles (Matt. 5:45; Acts 14:17; Jas. 1:17). But providing physical help for man was not the primary purpose of the miracles.

Question 7

5 / 5 pts

In two paragraphs (75–150 words each), juxtapose (compare and contrast) two of these miracles. What interesting connections, similarities, and differences do you observe in these miracles as you set them side by side and compare and contrast what occurred?

Your Answer:

First the connections I see in these miracles is that, without faith non of these miracles would have occurred. Jesus had the power but he needed people to first believe in him in order for these miracles to be performed. Which is why most of the miracles were seen. Miracles had to be seen in order for people to believe. Also the healing miracles were immediate and it did not take any time for those people to heal. People were healed instantly once Jesus performed his miracles.

Jesus never held a healing service for people but multitudes of people showed up because they actually believed in his healings. His disciples did not set up a crowd for people to be healed however people still sought Jesus out because they knew his miracles were real. Many eyewitnesses testified to the miracles in the face of death and persecution. When Jesus brought back the Dead, he could have brought back everyone else that had been dead, however that is not why he came. He came to seek and save the lost in our world.

Question 8

5 / 5 pts

In one paragraph (75–150 words), what miracle has blessed your life? What has God taught you about His character, power, and plan (doctrines & principles) as a result of experiencing this miracle? (Please note: we are not asking you to share anything too personal or sacred.)

Your Answer:

Jesus Christ performed moral miracles such as forgiveness of sins or driving out demons, the blessing of Jesus purifies the soul. In Mark 2:1-12, Jesus performed a physical miracle, healing the paralytic, to demonstrate a moral miracle, the forgiveness of sins. With this I am grateful because I struggle everyday to follow his teachings and live by his word. This tells me how much compassion our Heavenly Father has for us that he also shares our pain. That he understands what we go through in this world but he wants us to trust him and continue to press forward in faith. That his plan will get us back to him as long as we believe and follow what he has instructed us to do.
