Pedagogical Approach that exemplifies a good way of engaging with the theme.

**Your presentation must include references/citations for at least 3 course resources (from the required readings).

Create a short presentation (15 minutes) in the form of a website (use Google Drive Sites as it is really easy to navigate and you can access it from your uAlberta email page by selecting the Google Drive link).

Organize your website using at least the following website ribbons/topic headings:

  • Key concept(s) and Ideas related to your topic – you will have a number of tabs here
  • Attitudes/Insights - Key ways of seeing, or attitudes, or orientations that are implicated in the topic (i.e., what understandings must an educator or teacher bring or be open to in order to engage constructively with this topic in practice?).
  • Framework/Theory - Salient framework(s) for your topic (e.g., anti-racism/equity and inclusiveness,   LGBTTQQIAP+, FNMI education, critical literacies, relational curriculum, student agency and voice).
  • Practical Application to Educational Context - Implications for practice: What would we see when this topic constructively informs the way one practices in an educational setting with students, families, communities?  (e.g., types of materials and/or activities, ways of teaching, responses to children and youth with particular needs, interaction strategies with family members, reflective practices, etc.)  It will be helpful to give examples, for example, from some of the videos you have watched for this course, or from some of the materials and guest speakers you have accessed through this course, as well drawing on in your own experiences and observations in your community of practice.
  • Assessment/Engagement activity – We won’t have time for you to lead us in an activity -- include a page that you would refer to if you were presenting this to our class in real-time, Face To Face, Think about an activity you would do to assess student learning/engagement? Explain it on this page.
  • One page (maximum) for References including readings, videos, podcasts, webinars, other sources such as news articles. Your references should appear on the website.

Use APA 7th edition for the references, according to the APA guidelines in the Library Guide on our eClass home page.
