In this module, we learned about how consumers make food choices, and how choices are constrained by economics or circumstances. There is a tension between individual food choice freedom and public health outcomes for the population, and there are both internal and external drivers for our food choices.

• Which of our class themes did you hear come out (environmental, human health, social, economic, waste)?
• What are the internal and external drivers and constraints that consumer face when making food choices? Did you identify with any of the food choice drivers discussed?
• What types of policies would work to change your food choices? How about other people’s food choices?
• What questions do you still have regarding consumer choices and access to healthy food in the U.S.?
