In this section, you are introducing the topic, providing context. Discuss the background and significance of the problem. E.g., why is this a public health concern...? Summarize the main points/most important points you want to make. Epidemiology and demographic data: (25 points) “What, Why, When, How, Where, and Who” In this section, you review, report, and analyze the data (morbidity, mortality, demographic risk factor and health disparities data at the local, state and national levels). Report data according to race, ethnicity, gender and SES. The data illustrate the magnitude and extent of the problem. You can even display the data in a table, but you will need to analyze the data in the narrative.
