The median sacral crest is a crest along the dorsal (posterior) surface of the sacrum. The sacral crest represents the spinous processes of the sacral vertebrae. They differ from the spinous processes of the lumbar vertebrae in that the spinous processes of the sacral vertebra are fused together.
