Develop examples of a barrier analysis, failure mode analysis, and an effect analysis.

In this module, we will examine a variety of methods for conducting self-assessments that enable managers to identify risks and to observe work processes. This module will introduce barrier analysis as an approach to identifying the source of problems and developing barriers (or safeguards) to keep problems from occurring. Another method, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis will also be introduced, along with actions that managers can take to help identify deviations from expected performance.
