CO3: Understand and evaluate a variety of quality improvement and EBP models for advanced practice nursing in outcomes assessments. Quality Improvement Paper Guidelines: Develop a quality improvement plan for your DNP scholarly project or a Nurse Leader initiative. Review quality improvement initiatives and quality and logic models utilized by outcome evaluation agencies such as QSEN, AHRQ or JC. The final paper should not exceed eight pages without title page, references and appendix. IPC is interprofessional collaboration (see rubric). 70 points maximum for specific assignment/topic and 30 points maximum using Standard Grading rubric for writing= 100 points total for a writing assignment. Details: DNP project: Substance use disorder (SUD) and its relationship to genetics. Are there increased risks of developing SUD in patients with direct relatives that have addiction issues? Quality improvement: Determination-On admission the nurse practitioner will determine if the patients who present with SUD have a direct family member with addiction issues by a surveying the patients by asking if a parent, grandparent or sibling has every suffered from SUD. Based on that information I will determine increased or decreased risk if any. Shareholders examples: Nurse practitioner, Floor Nurses and addiction medicine organization etc.
