This analytical paper needs to be developed from and framed around the topic of children in crisis. Specifically, you will develop an argument (or thesis statement) addressing the following questions:

• How do children’s individual intersecting identities shape their experiences of crisis—conflict and violence, immigration, and health pandemics?
• In what ways do the social institutions intersect, reinforce, and maintain systems of inequality in the context of conflict, war, violence; immigration; and health pandemics?

In the analysis section of your paper, you will support that thesis statement by offering examples and excerpts from the young adult books Other Words for Home and The Orphan Collector as well as citations from related material such as assigned readings, course discussions, and outside sources.

This assignment gives you the opportunity to demonstrate that you have understood and can apply critical thinking skills to the readings and other course resources.

This paper should be well organized, well formulated, and well written. Make sure you support the claims you make in this paper. Do this not only by citing the books Other Words for Home and The Orphan Collector, but also by referring to or citing the texts, class discussions, and/or other (“outside the classroom”) resources. At the end of your paper, you will include a “works cited” page, with full citations of all the sources cited in your paper. Please let me know if you have questions about citing your sources appropriately.

Your paper should be at least 7-9 pages

Your final paper should have three sections:

• INTRODUCTION
• ANALYSIS
• CONCLUSIONS

Please look up summaries of the books and include an example from each, if you use sources too make sure to use google scholar so its peer reviewed work
