CCCC memoranda should be short, three-paragraph memoranda in which you will analyze, in a depth appropriate to the length limit, one

(a) current (published/originally posted any time from April 1 through June 1)

(b) report (articles/blogposts/op-eds/etc.)

(c) about “current controversies” (e.g., controversies, proposals, or other events happening during the Quarter in or among the federal or state legislative, executive, and judicial branches)

(d) covered in general informational media (i.e., newspapers, magazines, newsletters, online databases, etc.) and

(e) related to course themes and issues falling under the following subjects: (on judicial policy-making powers and limitations*; or federal or state judicial selection)
