Original Post: After some reflection, post your opinion about the circumstances under which you might feel comfortable giving consent for an autopsy to be performed on a loved one.  Under what circumstances might you decline?  Would your answer be different if you could grant or withhold consent for an autopsy on yourself?  In what ways would you expect those performing the autopsy to respect the human value of the deceased?  (If thinking about these concepts from a personal point of view is too uncomfortable for you, you may propose responses as you suppose other people might respond.)
