This assignment is based on PSYC 100. 

Identify and critique a media posting that relates to a topic PSYC 100. That means that the posting should, at least tangentially, relate to concepts that have been addressed in the units of Attention; Memory; Language; or Development).

You can select any of the following types of media postings:

Short online news/blog posting (no more than 3 pages double spaced when pasted into a Word document. 12 point, Times New Roman font )

A video of not more than 2 minutes

An infographic that can be pasted into 1 page of a Word document

The media posting should make some claim related to psychology, related to the content areas listed above. Your job is to critique your chosen posting.

In your critique, you should demonstrate your scientific literacy skills.

Please choose an initial posting that gives you a good opportunity to critique it in depth (e.g., 1-liner me Page 1: Please copy and paste the following to Page 1 (and beyond as needed)

The URL of the media you are critiquing (so that your readers can find it if they choose to) and the content itself to minimize the need for people linking out, and in case a link goes down (remember--no more than 3 pages double spaced, please!) Videos can’t be pasted into a Word document, so please ensure the URL is present.

The Critical Analysis: Your critical analysis should be no longer than 3 pages, in 12-point New Roman font, and double spaced when in .docx format (Microsoft Word). Your critique should be evidence-based and refer explicitly to course material PSYC 100.

The page limit does not include references

We encourage you to cite using APA format. We will not be grading on citation style accuracy, but rather on whether you specify when content has come from another source.
