Panel Presentation: Each student will sign up for one of the scheduled issue presentations, usually in a pro-con format. You are expected to post

a 2-page (500 words before questions and citations) position statement on your due date giving your reasons and supporting information for your position on the issue. (See syllabus for full instructions.) Remember to use at least 5 sources for your information and cite them. At the end, include 5 questions for the class to respond to. Submit it here AND in your topic discussion forum on your due date. The presentation needs to be stated in the student’s own words, though acknowledged quotes are allowed.

Some of the most common reasons for grade reductions have been lack of preparation, too short of a presentation, simply copying an argument from the internet, failure to ask the class discussion questions, and lack of participation in the ensuing discussion (graded separately).
