This assignment is due in two parts, 1) the paper and powerpoint slides are due on Week 9 on March 12th and 2) a recording of your presentation on this topic is due on Week 10 on March 19th.

Practicum Assignment (20 points) 

Each student will be assigned a topic dealing with an accounting or a financial corporate scandal.  This will be due in Week 9 on Saturday, March 12^th.  Students will need to write a 5-page report analyzing the scandal and to also prepare a 12 slide Power Point presentation. This Practicum project will enable students to demonstrate their ability to analyze company financials using the tools that they have learned in this class. The report needs to include a cover page, introduction, report body and conclusion with references. Papers plagiarized will not be accepted.   

•  Briefly describe what happened (1/2 page) 
• Identify the main players (1/2 page): 
• Describe how they did it in detail.  Demonstrate your ability to analyze complex financial undertakings (2-to-3 pages) 
• Indicate how they got caught (1-to-2 pages) 
• Describe the penalties the main players incurred (1/2 page):
