You are the Manager of a local Toronto pub called “The Olde York”. As pandemic restrictions begin to ease,
you have decided to continue asking customers for their vaccine status before permitting entry.

Your assistant manager Iris Young sends you an email saying that she doesn’t think this is legal. She argues:
“If the government mandates that we check customers’ vaccine status, we should check customers’ vaccine
status. The government 1s no longer mandating that we do this. It follows that we shouldn't check customers’
vaccine status anymore.”

Using your own words, write a memo to Iris that explains why her reasoning is mistaken and asks her to
ensure that all staff know that vaccine status still needs to be checked.
